07/13 Upcoming Update Pre-Announcements

Hello, this is Elsword.

The following is the pre-announcement for the content update and revamp that will start from August.

  1. Weapon Improvement

    It will be possible to obtain Apocalypse Type-Void Weapon, Flames of Judgement Demonic Weapon, and Vestige of Soul – Weapon of Requiem even faster.

    In order to improve on the problem of many adventurers being stuck in the previous stage despite the Submergence of Abyss weapon update, there will be various updates to allow weapons to be obtained faster, such as Weapon Cube Drop Rate Increase, Weapon Cube Drop Gauge Increase Amount Increase, and Weapon Cube Max Drop Gauge Decrease.

    With the above improvements, players will be able to obtain weapon cubes faster than before.

    Furthermore, Raid Weapon obtained from Raid Weapon Cube (Varnimyr, Pruinaum, Abyss) will immediately have +9 enhancement level applied.

  2. Pruinaum / Abyss Raid Difficulty Adjustment

    We hope to improve on the patterns players feel difficulty in the current raid to hope to lessen the inconvenience and stress obtained from the raids.

    Despite Pruinaum Raid no longer being considered end-game, many patterns still deal close to fatal damage, especially such as howling patterns where one mistake can wipe out the entire party.

    This is causing fatigue and stress in obtaining weapon, accessories, and titles.

    As such, patterns such as Haivan’s Bomb Implant or Berthe’s Howling will be easier and have lesser debuff immunities.

    [Abyss Raid]

    With how difficult Blooming Mineral Field playthrough can be, Phase 1 boss barrier related patterns, phase 2 boss teleport pattern, or Sea Current Adaptation pattern will be adjusted to be easier. Also, a Story Mode will be added.

  3. Amethystine Prophecy, Tenebrous Armor Reforge Requirement Adjustment

    Amethystine Prophecy and Tenebrous Armor’s reforge success gauge increase amount will be adjusted overall to lessen the pressure coming from armor reforge.

    Current Equipment Guaranteed Success Gauge before change will have the percentage of the updated improved gauge amount applied.

    For example, if Guaranteed Success Gauge of Amethystine Prophecy in 12 →13 Reforge Stage was at 50%, then the Guaranteed Success Gauge after the update will be adjusted to 100%.

    ※ Applied Success Guage after the improvement will not exceed max 100%.

  4. Tenebrous Armor Set Socket and Tenebrous Armor Character Change Ticket Added

    While the pervious armor sets had set effects, there was a clear set back with having set effects due to players being unable to attempt various combinations when there’s a set effect presence.

    In order to help resolve that problem, Tenebrous Armor set was created without having any set effects.

    However, there were consistent opinion that it seemed to lack effects despite being a late-game armor.

    As such, we’d be attempting a new method in applying set effects by adding Set Socket to the Tenebrous Armor.

    Tenebrous Set Effect will be determined by the Shadow Socket’s 3rd socket group so that no additional effort will be necessary after completing the armor set. The Set Socket will be activated when equipping 4 equipment with the same group socket.

    With the addition of the Tenebrous Armor Set Socket, we hope to enhance on the usefulness of the armor and help in new dungeon play.

    Tenebrous Armor Character Change Ticket item will be added.

    Item Seal Count, Durability, Enhancement Level, Additional Effect, Socket Slot, Socket Effect, Reforge Stage, Reforge Durability, Attribute Enchant will all remain the same when using Tenebrous Armor Character Change item.

  5. Easing Growth Area Fatigue

    We hope to ease the fatigue felt in the growth area by decreasing the repeated play from dungeons with high difficulty and epic quests.

    • Elysion/Varnimyr~Pruinaum Dungeon Difficulty Adjustment

      Difficulty level of Elysion region’s Solace’s Fortress dungeon and Varnimyr region’s Shadow Vein ~ Pruinaum region normal dungeons will be adjusted.

      While players inevitably play Solace’s Fortress before Lv.99, it causes fatigue in many players due to long playtime and a powerful boss.

      As such, in order to ease the gameplay, monsters’ Attack Power and HP will be adjusted along with adjusting Boss’s Attack Power and HP while also removing Boss’s invincibility time.

      Additionally, in order to ease growth and progress, Varnimyr region Shadow Vein ~ Pruinaum region monsters will have the stats adjusted accordingly to the combat power.

      This is especially the case for Master Road dungeons where phase 2 of Hell Mode is much harder in difficulty due to the boss being immune to all debuffs.

    • Epic Quest Dungeon Play Count Adjustment

      The requirement to play Elrianode, Varnimyr, Pruinaum region dungeon multiple times in order to progress through epic quest will be adjusted to something easier, such as “Talk to NPC” quests.

      The rewards will remain the same as only the quest complete requirements will be adjusted.

    • Transcendence Class Advance, Skill Quests Improvement

      There was an inconvenience from having to stray from the epic quests when progressing through Transcendence Class quests and having to play dungeons that are not within the current level range when playing Transcendence Skill quests. In order to make this process more convenient, Transcendence Quests and Transcendence Skill

      Quests will also follow the route accordingly to the epic quest route.

    • Early Growth Area Item Drop Improvement

      In order to fix the problem of gaining too many items that later on end up being useless when playing early stages, certain drop items will be adjusted.

  6. Shining Imprint Stone Imprint Fee Decrease and Common Imprint Stone Drop Removed

    There were many concerns that the cost of imprinting was difficult to handle after Reforge. As such with this update, the cost of applying Shining Imprint Stone will be decreased.

    After: 1,600,000ED

    Furthermore, it will be adjusted so only Refined and Shining Imprint Stones can be obtained.

  7. Pet Auto Consume Function, Encouragement Activation Requirement Improvement

    In order to ease the dungeon experience, Pet Auto Consume slots will not share the same cooldown period as consumable item quick slots.

    Pet Encouragement activation requirement will be adjusted.

    Before: Activate when Pet Hunger is 40% or higher and Character HP is 40% or lower, attack or attacked 9 times.
    After: Activate when Pet Hunger is 40% or higher and Character HP is 40% or lower.

    An item that can upgrade Pet Auto Consume slot will be added.

    When Pet Auto Consume Slot is upgraded, a timer system that uses consumable items at a set interval can be used.

    Furthermore, pet Encouragement and Special Encouragement effect can be used automatically in set condition.

  8. Inventory Function Improvement
    • New Function and UI Improvement will be added to make Inventory use more convenient.

      Temporary Item Filter Can check all temporary items in the inventory.
      Sort Fix Function Can fix the item in the desired location regardless of the inventory sort function.

    • With the Pet Inventory UI Improvement, all Pet Inventory can be seen without having to summon the pet.
  9. QoL Update
    • Reforge ED Fee Exemption Ticket Convenience Improvement

      In order to resolve the inconvenience from having to click OK every time when trying to use Reforge ED Fee Exemption Ticket, item use check box will be added to the Reforge UI.

    • Weekly Mission Visibility Improvement

      In order to prevent playing dungeons without accepting the weekly quest or not being able to accept the reward due to forgetting to complete the quest, a separate icon will mark whenever the quests can be accepted or are completed.

    • Title Search Function Added

      A function to search the title will be added to the Title UI to make searching the desired title more convenient.

    • Tenebrous Armor Effect Extract Improvement

      A button will be added that can instantly make effect extract chance 0% or 100% when using the Tenebrous Armor Extract Effect function.

    • Large Magical Crystal, Bismuthinite Item Stack Amount Increase

      Large Magical Crystal and Bismuthinite Item max stack amount will be increased from 100 → 300.

    • Title Rank Requirement Removal

      Rank requirement for title obtain and open condition will be removed for adventurers having difficulty in obtaining the titles.

    • Party List QoL Improvement

      Party Leader will also be able to see the Search Party UI.

      In Search Party UI’s Party Info and Gather Party UI, the character’s ERP will also be shown.

      When opening Search Party UI after selecting a specific dungeon from the Start Dungeon UI, the selected dungeon will automatically be filtered.

      Reapply cooldown will be added when sending join application to the same party.

      A UI will be added that allows you the check your party members’ info after joining a party.

    • Custom and Synergy Page item will be added that allows Custom and Synergy preset.

      Custom and Synergy that had to be changed every time will be available to switch easily.

    • Available to kick Guild member participating in the Guild Expedition immediately.

      Additionally, a guild member can decide to leave voluntarily while participating in the Guild Expedition.

    • Certain Demon Realm Epic Quest Event Scenes will be changed to 3rd class illustrations in accordance to the story progress.
    • New Dungeon Update

      We hope that parts of the game where there are struggles in growth or can be troublesome during gameplay will be improved with these improvements and the QoL changes will help with creating a fun experience while playing Elsword.

      With the improvements, new dungeon and new Boss Fight will be updated.

      The epic quest that will be added with the dungeon is the final chapter in the Red-Demon territory before the El Search Party moves on to the Steel territory. The El Search Party will encounter an unexpected struggle as they move across the land of the Dream Demons.

      We hope that with this update, many things that the players requested and provided feedback have been addressed.

      We will continue to improve upon the QoL updates to allow a better playing experience by listening to your concerns and feedback.
